In today's quickly evolving technological landscape, the demand for high-quality and reliable electronics is growing rapidly. Not only is Kitron known for its advanced electronics manufacturing capabilities, but it also holds the privilege of being one of the founders and organizers of the Nordic Test Forum.
NTF is a society for people in Nordic countries working on electronics tests. It is a forum for exchanging ideas, news, and knowledge. Also, the NTF board has arranged open meetings on specific topics that were expected to be of interest to the members. In addition, our Senior Engineer from Kitron Norway, Knut Båtstoløkken, is the chairman of the NTF executive committee. Paulius Musteikis, Test Development Group Manager from Kitron Lithuania, is also a member of it.
Did you know that Kitron had the privilege of being one of the founders of the Nordic Test Forum? As a company, Kitron's vision was to contribute to creating a society for people in Nordic countries to come together and exchange ideas, news, and knowledge about electronics tests. Kitron's team has been instrumental in the planning of the NTF executive committee and the annual Test Forum conference. We are proud to be a part of the NTF and to be driving the development of the electronics test industry.
“Between 1999 and 2000, the Norwegian association ITTF ran several test-related projects involving members of the Norwegian electronics industry. At the end of these projects, I proposed trying to establish a network of test professionals from within the Nordic electronics industry. The initiative was inspired both by the Nordic MQS network I was involved with at the time and the British “Industry Test Forum.” The committee now has 13 members from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, and Lithuania in addition to an associate member from Germany.” – shared Knut Båtstoløkken, chairman of the NTF executive committee and Senior Engineer at Kitron Norway.
Nordic Test Forum has its main emphasis on issues relevant to production managers, engineers, and technicians working in the fields of production, testing, inspection, and validation of electronics. Nordic Test Forum events offer technically relevant presentations on methodology, tools, modules/instruments, and technology. The interaction between users and suppliers within the focus areas is a valuable asset of the forum, and this balance and interaction is pursued in presentations, panel discussions, and in the planning of the events.
This year's event aims to provide an up-to-date view of new methodologies and tools for relevant tests, inspection, validation, and production of electronics and establish a relevant and balanced view of equipment, systems, tools, and software from tool vendors in the domain.
"The Nordic Test Forum is an excellent opportunity for networking and collaboration between equipment suppliers and equipment users, who are usually test engineers from EMS or OEM companies. It provides an excellent platform for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and experiences that can drive innovation in the industry. The exhibition also gives presenters and companies a chance to showcase their solutions and engage with attendees." – shared Paulius Musteikis, a member of the NTF executive committee and Test Development Group Manager from Kitron Lithuania.
